An established habit must repeat indefinitely.
I habitually napped.
I enjoyed the habit.
Something happened.
It was tragic.
I broke the habit
and napped no more.
An exhausted body
understands
no vow spoken,
no oath taken.
I crashed hard on
the couch despite
my broken habit.
Just once, no repeat,
Just once, no repeat,
in the clear, vow
intact, so I thought.
An exhausted body
understands
no vow spoken,
no oath taken.
A broken habit does not repeat.
A broken habit does not repeat.
A reestablished habit repeats indefinitely.
